Variations of the elbow strike such as slicing, hook, and spike (also called 12to6 for its vertical path) are each a devastating blow from an inside fighter. Utilized in the clinch, elbow fighters are considered devastating opponents as this strike causes tremendous damage. Spinning back elbows can be initiated from a distance and take opponents off guard.
